“Cheating” via /r/vegan

One of my coworkers asked me today if I wanted to "cheat" and have a slice of cheesecake and it sparked a bit of anger in me. In my opinion asking someone to "cheat" on their diet is rude to begin with. But for me this isn't a diet, this is a lifestyle that I don't plan on "cheating" on. I'm fairly new to the vegan lifestyle so I know it's easy for others to forget I've made the switch and offer me things I don't eat, which is okay. But to KNOW and ask me to cheat just seems so rude!

Edit: changed "things I can't eat" to "things I don't eat"
