I came to the realisation that if I truly care about the environment and climate change I need to look into vegan options
I’m at university right now and I want to pursue a career in the political side of combatting climate change but I’ve now read a plethora of research about how the farming industry contributes to a majority of the damage. It’s very disheartening, I’ve been raised to think and act eco-friendly but I think this requires me to get more serious about this.
Veganism is a huge way to cut down on my emissions/water consumption footprint. I’m not sure how to go about it so tips are greatly appreciated! I’ve already been dairy free, except for cheese and I do eat chicken, pork, and beef but I want to cut that out completely.
The only things i worry about is not getting enough nutrition and the price of vegan foods, as I’m a broke Canadian uni student who lives with his parents and doesn’t eat much as is and has a bmi that classifies me as underweight.
Any knowledge, tips, or overall opinions on what I should do are very welcome!!
