I made tofu chicken. It looked and smelled like it but didn’t taste like chicken. Is there anything else I can do?
I made tofu chicken from a YouTube video I found. I am trying to go vegan but chicken and meat are the hardest things to get rid of. Basically involved pressing the tofu, freezing it, pressing it again, season, then bake. It came out good but I just really wanted it to taste like chicken. I made it similar to how my mother made it when I was a kid. Which is basically salt, pepper, soy sauce, and breading. I also pan fried it instead of baking it. It was okay, but I am not very fond of the taste of tofu. I do not know, I just feel like tofu tastes like mushy salt if that makes sense. Is there anything else I can put or do to make it taste for like chicken and not like a chicken recipe but with tofu?
