I need help veganizing a fruit salad
So my family has this great recipe for fruit salad with marshmallows and a dressing. This is a staple at any family gatherings so I would love to be able to eat it.
The obvious substitution is Dandies (vegan marshmallows) for regular marshmallows, but I’m having trouble with the dressing that contains egg.
Here is the recipe: 1 can pineapple tidbits, reserve the juice 1 can mandarin oranges, drained 2-3 bananas, sliced 1 cup marshmallows 1 egg, beaten 2 Tbsp flour 1/3 cup sugar
Directions: Take 1 egg, beaten and add it to the pineapple juice. Add 2 Tbs. of flour and whisk so there are no lumps. Heat to boiling, stirring almost constantly. Add 1/3 cup is sugar and stir until it has boiled 1 minute. Cool before adding to the fruit and marshmallows.
