Quick Bread Masala | Recipe | Simple Breakfast Idea
Ingredients:
- 5 bread slices
- 1 tsp mustard seeds (optional)
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 finely chopped tomato
- ½ tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp chilli powder (adjust to your spice tolerance)
- ½ tsp garam masala (or replace with any curry powder)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves, handful
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- Sev for garnish (optional)
Method:
- Slice 5 bread pieces into small squares
- Toast them in a pan until golden brown (Optional: Add ghee or butter)
- Set the bread aside
- Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil
- Add mustard seeds and let them pop
- Add onions and saute until they soften
- Add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes. Saute until tomatoes soften
- Add chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, salt and mix well
- Add tomato ketchup and mix well
- Add 1/4 cup of water and mix well
- Add coriander leaves and the toasted bread. Coat the bread in sauce
- Garnish with sev (optional) and serve it hot
