I tried tempeh (lightlife flaxseed tempeh) for the first time today—sautéed it with mushrooms and spinach. The mushrooms and spinach were delicious in the white wine vinegar reduction, but the tempeh was awful. The taste made me want to vomit. It was so bad that I had to brush my teeth. Am I doing it wrong? Are some brands better than others? What recipes do y’all live by when it comes to tempeh?
