What are some alternatives to soaking cashew in boiling water for 1 hour?
Can someone explain the science of this? Does this simply make it break up easier in a blender ? (Cheese recipe) and if I want to save energy (heating) I can soak in water in fridge for 24 hours or something instead? Any good replacements for cashew if someone is allergic?
